Free Summer BBQ

This years free summer BBQ will be held on Sunday, June 30th from 5pm, and we’ve saved a spot for you! Our annual BBQ feast is open to everyone and doesn’t cost a penny. That’s right, great food and great company, all for free!

What can I expect?

As you get close, you’ll experience the beautiful aroma of BBQ food wafting your way. There’s no dress code or formality, so just come as you are. When you arrive, you can choose to sit inside, or outside on the lush green grass. If it’s your first time coming, you’ll have no trouble fitting in, you’ll find friendly faces on people of all shapes, sizes and ages. You’re very welcome to bring friends and family with you too. It’s a kid friendly event, so round them up and bring them too.

When bellies are full and plates are empty, we’ll have a short evening service. There is no obligation to stay for this, but you will be very welcome. You are welcome to come and go as you please.

What if the weather is bad?

That’s no problem for us. In true British fashion, we’ll carry on regardless. We can cook under cover and eat inside, so you’ll still get to experience the very best a BBQ can offer without fearing of getting soaked to the bone.

Do I need to pay for food and drink?

No, not at all. This is a totally free event being run by us. The event costs are completely covered by our Church. You pay absolutely nothing. Not a sausage (pun intended).

Where is the Summer BBQ held?

You can find us right in the heart of the Buglawton community, at the Scout Hut, near the southern end of St Johns Road. It’s between the the junctions with Haworth Avenue and Bankhouse Drive. What if I need transport to attend?
